We couldn’t deny the significance of teachers in making our personalities. Teachers are those who try their best to make the rough path of life easier and smoother for their students. In Pakistan, teachers have to face a lot of problems in accomplishing their duties.

Moving forward and being specific, I should state the problem first:

“In Government institutions, teachers couldn’t focus on students, their studies and development”

As we all know that private institutions are preferred as far as the studies and development of students are concerned. Possible reasons would be, lack of facilities in government institutions, lack of healthy environment and the absence of education equity. Apart from these, one problem that left unaddressed and probably is the root cause of all the aforementioned problems is, teachers are forced to participate in the management and other officials for which they are definitely not appointed for, but they have to do that as per the orders of Government. Consequently, they feel occupied and couldn’t focus on students and the task they are actually meant for.

I interviewed a few teachers from government schools and colleges and they all had this perspective. Government is not realizing its mistakes and is devising other inapplicable means to bring education equity.

All the private institutions are extremely focused about student development and therefore they evaluate the job of teachers. They give them a work friendly environment so they can fulfill their duties. In that scenario, how can we compare the quality of education in both cases.

Although, the hiring policy of Government is good and they select the most competitive teachers, it should also facilitate them and provide them with good teaching environment. To cover the gap and to solve this problem, Government should hire specific staff for all those engagements which has nothing to do with teachers. Only in this way teachers could give there hundred percent to the education and development of students.
